Scheduled Hawaii Inter-Island Flights
Hawaiian Airlines
Hawaiian Airlines is the largest airline based in Hawaii and one of
the 20 largest airlines in the United States. Hawaiian offers
flights between all of Hawaii's largest islands and round
trip flights between Hawaii and the U.S. mainland, Samoa, Australia,
the Philippines, and the island of Tahiti in French Polynesia.
Go! Airlines
This airline owned by the Mesa Air Group of Arizona has been operating
inter-island flights in Hawaii since June of 2006.
When Go! entered Hawaii's inter-island airline market their main competitors were
Hawaiian Airlines and Aloha Airlines, but Aloha went bankrupt
and ceased all operations in 2008.
SOME INTERESTING NEWS ABOUT GO! AIRLINES: In December of 2008 the former
owner of Aloha Airlines licensed the right to use the Aloha Airlines logo
and brand name to the parent company of Go Airlines for $6 million,
but that licensing agreement was invalidated by a U.S. Bankruptcy judge
in March of 2009 on a technicality related to how the licensing agreement
sale was handled. To be continued...
Island Air
In addition to flying between Honolulu and the outer
islands, Island Air offers flights directly between some
of the outer islands without stopping in Honolulu.
Mokulele Airlines
This airline based in Kailua-Kona on Hawaii Island has a fleet of 9-passenger and
70-passenger aircraft. Mokulele offers scheduled flights between six
of Hawaii's Islands and circle island tours of Hawaii Island (aka the Big Island).

This commuter airline based in Kahului, Maui operates scheduled and charter
flights between all of Hawaii's largest islands.
Pacific Wings has a small fleet of Cessna aircraft.
Pacific Wings was founded in 1974 in Las Vegas as a charter
airline called Air Nevada Airlines. In 1998 the company
changed its name from Air Nevada to Pacific Wings and began
operating in Hawaii. In 2007 they began operating some
of their Hawaii flights under the brand name PW Express.
