Hurricane Recipe

A Hurricane is a tropical drink made with two kinds of rum, orange juice, and lime juice. Variations sometimes include other ingredients such as Galliano, pineapple juice, bitters, and grenedine. One of these Hurricane Recipes is garnished with two cherries and an orange slice.

HURRICANE RECIPE #1

Ingredients
  • 1 ounce dark rum
  • 1 ounce light rum
  • 1/2 ounce Galliano
  • 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce passion fruit syrup
  • 1-1/2 ounce orange juice
  • 1-1/2 ounce pineapple juice
  • Dash of Angostura Bitters
  • Fresh tropical fruit for garnish
  • Ice

    Instructions
    Shake all ingredients together and pour into a hurricane glass filled with ice. Garnish with tropical fruit.



    HURRICANE RECIPE #2

    Ingredients
  • 2 ounce dark rum
  • 2 ounce light rum
  • 2 ounce passion fruit juice
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon grenadine
  • ice cubes as required
  • 1 slice of orange
  • 2 cherries

    Instructions
    Mix all ingredients except the fruit together in a shaker, add ice cubes, and shake well. Pour over ice cubes in a hurricane glass. Garnish with an orange slice and 2 cherries.
