Bananas Flambe

Introduction...

Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 tablespoon orange liqueur, like Curacao
  • 3 bananas, peeled, sliced in half
  • Shredded coconut

    Instructions:
    Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in the sugar and allspice and stir well. Add the liqueur. Saute the bananas until lightly golden on both sides. Serve sprinkled with shredded coconut. Two tablespoons of rum can be substituted for the orange liqueur.
