Hawaiian Music at Oahu Hotels

A guide to clubs, restaurants, hotels, theaters, and others venues that regularly host Hawaiian music performances. Contact each venue to confirm performance times and locations.

Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel
Tiki's Bar and Grill on the second floor of the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel has a South Pacific design and menu and it features live entertainment nightly by some of Hawaii's top contemporary musicians and singers. Halekulani Hotel
The "House Without a Key" lounge at the elegant and exclusive Halekulani Hotel on Waikiki Beach is a beautiful spot to watching the sun go down while listening to Hawaiian music. Musicians perform from 5-8:30 pm complimented by hula dancing performed by two former winners of the Miss Hawaii crown, Kanoe Miller and Debbie Nakanelua. Hilton Hawaiian Village
The Tapa Bar in the Tapa Tower features Hawaiian entertainment nightly. On Friday at 6:45 you can follow the Village Guard Rifle Drill Team's procession to the hotel's pool stage, where you can watch a Hawaiian music and Hula show at 7:00 pm, followed by an aerial fireworks display. Note that Olomana no longers performs at the Hilton Hawaiian Village because their Paradise Lounge in the Rainbow Tower stopped being a live performance venue in March of 2008. Hyatt Regency Waikiki
Local musicians perform nightly in the Elegant Dive Lounge on the third floor of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort and Spa, near the swimming pool. (2424 Kalakaua Avenue, Waikiki, Honolulu, Oahu, 808-923-1234 ).

Marriott Waikiki Hotel
Hawiian slack guitar musicians and singers Aaron Mahi, George Kuo, Martin Pahinui perform in the open air Moana Terrance Lounge almost every Sunday night from about 7 to 10 p.m. Other Hawaiian musicians perform at approximately the same time on other evenings. Legendary Hawaiian falsetto singer Genoa Keawe peformed here for 14 years, until she died in February of 2008. Her granddaughter, sons, and others in her family still perform here on Thursdays as the "Genoa Keawe Ohana". (Located at 2552 Kalakaua Avenue, Waikiki, Honolulu, Oahu, Phone: 808-922-6611.

Outrigger Waikiki Hotel
Contemporary Hawaiian musicians perform nightly from 4 pm to midnight at the Duke's Canoe Club restaurant in the Outrigger hotel chain's flagship location on the beach in Waikiki. See the Duke's Waikiki Web site for more information. (2335 Kalakaua Avenue, Waikiki, Honolulu, Oahu, 808-922-2268)

Outrigger Reef on the beach Hotel
The new Kani Ka Pila Grille at the Outrigger Reef Hotel features live Hawaiian music every evening. See the Kani Ka Pila Grille. Web site for more information. At one time the Outrigger Reef's Shore Bird Restaurant host a monthly event called "Hawaiian Steel Guitar Sundays" but that event was discontinued in 2009.

Royal Hawaiian Hotel
New information about Hawaiian music performances at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel is coming soon.

Moana Surfrider Hotel
The open air Banyon Court Lounge at the luxurious and historic Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel sits right on the beach in Waikiki and it is one of the bests spots on Oahu to sip drinks, watch the sunset and hear some of the top Hawaiian musicians perform. Schedule includes traditional Hawaiian music from 5:30 to 8:30 pm and more contemporary music from 8:30 to 10:30 pm. See the hotel's event calendar to see who is performing. Sheraton Princess Kaiulani
Every night from 6:15 to 9:30 pm Hawaiian musicians perform on the stage by the pool at this hotel located across the street fromthe beach in Waikiki. (120 Kaiulani Avenue, Waikiki, Honolulu, Oahu, 808-922-5811)

Sheraton Waikiki Hotel
The new waterfront and poolside Rumfire Lounge and Restaurant at the Sheraton Waikiki has live music most evenings. See the Rumfire Web site for more information. (2255 Kalakaua Avenue, Waikiki, Honolulu, Oahu, 808-922-4422)
