Diamond Head Beach Hotel - Introduction and Photos
Waikiki, Oahu, Hawaii
The Diamond Head Beach hotel is a small, waterfront,
condominium hotel located across the street from
Kapiolani Park, on the Diamond Head end of Waikiki.
The hotel has a grassy sunning area instead of a beach, but
the seawalk in front of the hotel leads to two nearby
beaches, San Souci Beach and the smaller Colony Surf Beach.
This small condominium and apartment hotel
on the quiet and peaceful Diamond Head end of Waikiki
is located between two taller buildings,
the San Souci Condominiums and Colony Surf Condominiums.
The hotel room style units have refrigerators and coffee makers,
the studio apartments have kitchenettes, and the 1 and 2
bedroom units have full kitchens. All of the units are
air conditioned, and some of them have private balconies.
The two penthouse suites have 180 degree views.
There are coin operated laundry facilities, picnic and
barbecue facilities, and a waterfront lawn and sitting
area on the premises.

Why to Stay at the Diamond Head Beach Hotel
Visitors who love the Diamond Beach Hotel usually
mention its quiet, peaceful location away from busy
Waikiki, its reasonable rates, it's lovely
waterfront lawn and sitting area, and its close
proximity to Kapiolani Park, the Waikiki Aquarium,
and the Honolulu Zoo.
Things You Need to Know
Many of the units in the Diamond Beach Hotel
have ocean views, but in some cases the views are
partially or fully obstructed by the taller buildings on
either side. The rooms above the 8th floor have the best
views. Units are individually owned so decor can vary
significantly from unit to unit.
The Diamond Head Beach Hotel is really a collection
of vacation rentals within a residential apartment building,
so don't expect a 24 hour reception desk, restaurants, shops,
or other hotel amenities and services.
Renting an on-site parking space is usually expensive,
so most visitors use the metered street parking in Kapiolani Park.
There is no beach in front of the hotel
but there is a lovely, waterfront, sunning area
and San Souci Beach is only a short walk away.
It takes most people about 15 or 20 minutes to walk from
this area to the restaurants and shops of Waikiki, but
it's a beautiful walk through Kapiolani Beach Park.
