Oahu Aloha Festivals Events in September

Aloha Festivals Royal Court Investiture
The 2009 Aloha Festivals Royal Court Investiture will take place on the grounds the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort in Waikiki on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. For more information call 808-391-8714.

Aloha Festivals Floral Parade
The 2009 Aloha Festivals Floral Parade will take place on Kalauaua Boulevard in Waikiki on Saturday morning, September 26, 2009 beginning at 9:00 a.m. For more information call 808-391-8714.

Aloha Festivals Waikiki Hoolaulea
The 57th Annual Aloha Festivals Waikiki Hoolaulea will take place on Saturday night, September 19, 2009, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The event is a block party on Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki and it will feature three stages of entertainment, live music, hula performances, food vendors, lei vendors, and arts and crafts booths.

Taste of the Arts Nuuanu Street Festival
The 3rd Annual Taste of the Arts Street Festival will take place in Downtown Honolulu on September 18, 2009 from about 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The event celebrates the international cusine and musi of the Honolulu Arts Distriact and it will feature live music all evening, performed on three stages'

Taste of Kalihi Festival
Annual cultural pride festival and block party in Honolulu's Kalihi District that features live music, dance performances, food booths hosted by Kalihi's best restaurants, and other local vendor booths. The event was founded in 2007 to revitalize "Kalihi pride" among the local residents and to stimulate economic opportunities in the area. The Taste of Kalihi Festival is organized by the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii Foundation.

  • City Announces First Taste of Kalihi: 9/29/07

    Okaniwan Festival
    The 27th Annual Okinawan Festival Hawaii will take place September 5-6, 2009 but the 2008 festival took place during the month of August. The two-day festival usually takes place on a Saturday and Sunday in either August or September and it is presented by the Hawaii United Okinawa Association.

    Portuguese Festa
    Annual celebration of Portuguese culture in Hawaii that takes place every September in Honolulu. In the past the festival has been held in Ala Moana Park and at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.

    Sports Events in September on Oahu

    Honolulu Century Ride The 2009 Honolulu Century Ride will take place on September 27 2009. The event typically attracts more then 4000 cyclists from around the world.

    Women's Molokai to Oahu Outrigger canoe race

    Waikiki Roughwater Swim
    The 39th annual Waikiki Roughwater Swim took place Monday, September 1, 2008. at 9:00 a.m. The course began in front of the New Otani Kaimana Beach hotel at the Natatorium on San Souci Beach on the diamond head end of Waikiki Beach. The course ended near the Rainbow Tower of the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort on the Ala Moana end of Waikiki Beach. The event distance was 2.348 miles.

    Dick Evans Memorial Bike Race
    Annual 112 mile cycling race around Oahu Island. The course begins in Hawaii Kai and it is accompanied by a police escort through Waikiki, Downtown Honolulu, and Pearl harbor to the bottom of Kunia Road. The race is open after that and the course proceeds to Haleiwa, to Kahuku, through Kaneohe, Kailua, Waimanalo, and back to Hawaii Kai. The 2009 Dick Evans Memorial Road Race will take place on September 6, 2009.

    Candyland Keiki Triathlon
    The 7th Annual Keiki Sprint Race ande Candyland Keiki Triathlon will take place entire within the Wet 'N' Wild Hawaii Waterpark, formerly known as the Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park, in Kapolei, West Oahu. The swimming cycling, and running distances will vary by agte group.
