Parades in Hawaii

An introduction to parades in Hawaii. Includes information about Hawaii Christmas parades, King Kamehameha Day Parades, 4th of July parades in Hawaii, floral parades, band parades, and many other holiday parades and special event parades in Hawaii.

Waikiki Parades
Every year there are usually 10 to 15 parades on Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki. Three of the largest and most famous Waikiki parades are the King Kamehameha Day Parade, the Aloha Festivals Parade, and the Waikiki Holiday Parade but there are also many other fine holiday parades and other parades every year in Waikiki.

Downtown Honolulu Parades
Parades in Downtown Honolulu every year include the King Kamehameha Parade, which has a route from Downtown Honolulu to Waikiki, the Chinese New Year Parade in Honolulu's Chinatown, and the Honolulu city Lights Electric Parade in the historic capitol district of Downtown Honolulu.

Christmas Boat Parades in Hawaii
There are two Christmas Boat Parades in Hawaii and both of them are on the south side of the island of Oahu.

Christmas Parades in Hawaii

Maui Parades
Annual parades on the island of Maui include the Parade of Whales in February, the Lahaina Kamehameha Pau Parade in June, and the Maui County Fair Parade in October.

Big Island Parades
-Parades on the Hilo side of the big Island include the Merrie Monarch Royal Parade in March or April and the Hilo Christmas Parade in December.
-Parades on the north side of Hawaii Island include the Honokaa International Peace Day Parade in September and Honokaa Western Week Parade in May.
-Parades in the Kona and Kohala region include the King Kamehameha Day Parade in North Kohala in June, the King Kamehameha Day Parade in Kailua-Kona in June, the Kailua-Kona Independence Day Parade in July, , the two Kona Coffee Festival in November, and the Kailua-Kona Christmas Parade in December.

Kauai Parades
Parades in the Kauai town of Lihue include the Lihue King Kamehameha Day Parade in June and the Lihue Christmas Festival of Lights Parade in early December.

Molokai Parades
Kaunakakai Christmas Light Parade
