Oahu Marathons

There are many running events on the island of Oahu and one of the largest is the annual Honolulu Marathon. It attracts more then 20,000 runners from all over the world.

Honolulu Marathon
The first annual Honolulu Marathon took place in 1973 amd the winner of that race was 24 year old Donald Macdonald. 167 runners participated in that first event, and by 2004 the number of runners had increased to more then 20,000. The Honolulu Marathon route begins at Ala Moana Beach Park, circles around Diamond Head Crater, and ends at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand.

Information about running events in Hawaii that are shorter or longer then a full marathon. Includes races and fun runs with distances from one mile to 100 miles.
