Habilitat Luau
Annual fundraising event for the Habilitat substance abuse
and addiction treatment center held at Windward
Community College in Kaneohe, East Oahu. The
9th Annual Habilitat Luau, Auction, and Benefit Concert
took place June 6, 2009. The 2009 Habilitat Luau concert featured
Na Leo, Da Braddas, and Robi Kahakalau and the master
of ceremonies was Tiny Tadani.
King Kamehameha Floral Parade
Every year on Oahu there is a King Kamehameha Day Parade
that begins in Downtown Honolulu and ends in Kapiolani Park.
King Kamehameha Day is an official state holiday in Hawaii that
is celebrated every year on June 11th.
the 93rd Annual King Kamehameha Floral Parade will take place
June 13, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
King Kamehameha Hula Competition
Annual hula competition held at Blaisdell Arena
in Honolulu. The 36th Annual King Kamehameha Hula
Competition will take place June 26-27, 2009.
Pacific Expos Home and Garden Show
The 32nd Annual Home, Garden, and Remodeling
Show produced by Pacific Expos took
place at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall
June 12-14, 2009.
Pan Pacific Festival and Parade
The 2009 Pan-Pacific Festival will take place June 5-7, 2009 and it will
include a street festival in Waikiki on Friday, June 5, the 9th Annual Pan-Pacific
Hula Festival at Ala Moana Center on Saturday, June 6, and the
30th annual Pan-Pacific Matsuri Parade will took place in Waikiki on June 7, 2009
from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Sports Events in June on Oahu
Firecracker Sprint Triathlon
The 2009 Firecracker Sprint Triathlon
will take place on Sunday, June 28, 2009
beginning at 6:00 a.m. The event included
a 500 meter swim, an 11 mile bike ride,
and a 5 kilometer running event. It was
held on Nimitz Beach, Kalaeloa at Barbers
Point in West Oahu.
Hawaii Kai Dog Walk
This annual southeast Oahu event features
a 2.3 mile walk-with-your-dog through Hawaii
Kai on a course that begins and ends at the
Hawaii Kai Park-and-Ride lot on Keahole Street.
There is also a shorter route smaller and older
dogs. The event is a fundraiser for
Hui Ilio Hawaii, a dog park advocacy organization.
The 4th Hawaii Kai Dog Walk on June 7, 2008
was a pre-celebration of the Hawaii Dog Park grand
opening on June 29, 2008.
The 5th Annual Hawaii Kai Dog Walk took
place on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at 7:30 a.m.
Hawaii Dragon Boat Festival
The month during which this annual festival
takes place in Ala Moana Park varies. It has been
held in March, July, and August, but the 14th annual
festival will take place June 26-28, 2009.
