July Sports Events on Oahu

Information about July festivals and celebrations on Oahu Island in Hawaii.

Bill Emerson Memorial Freedom Run
This summer running event in Kailua on the east side of Oahu is a benefit for the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii. It takes place every year on the 4th of July. The 8th Annual Bill Emerson Memorial Freedom Run for Epilepsy will take place on July 4, 2009.

Freedom Fest Off-Road Triathlon
Independence weekend off-road triathlon at the Kualoa Ranch that includes 750 meter swim, a 20 kilometer mountain bike segment, and a 10 kilometer run. The day before the triathlon thee is a 10 kilometer off-road trail run and a 20 kilometer mountain bike race. The 2009 Camp Bennett Freedom Fest Hawaii will take place July 4-5, 2009.

Lanikai Bike Path 8K Run in Memory of Daniel Levey
Annual running event in Kailua, EAst Oahu that is a fundraiser for ?. The course includes two loops around the Lanikai Bike Path and with a finish near the Kailua Beach Boat Ramp. The 2009 Lanikai Bike Path 8K Run will take place on Sunday, July 12 2009.

Molokai to Oahu Paddleboard Race

Tinman Hawaii Triathlon
29th annual event is scheduled for July 26, 2009. 800 meter swim, 40 kilometer bike ride, 10 kilometer run.

TransPac Yacht Race
This sailing race from Los Angeles to Honolulu takes place every two years, and the crossing typically takes 6 to 8 days. The winner of the 2005 race was German Hasso Plattner's single hull maxZ86, "Morning Glory".
