Hawaii Hispanic Heritage Festival
Oahu, Hawaii

The annual Hawaii Hispanic Heritage Festival takes place every October and it is a celebration the rich Hispanic heritage of many of Hawaii's residents. The event usually takes place at the bandstand in Kapiolani Park on the Diamond Head end of Waikiki.

2006 Hawaii Hispanic Heritage Festival
The 13th annual Hawaii Hispanic Heritage Festival took place on Saturday October 14, 2006 in Kapiolani Park from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The event was hosted by morning radio show host Justin Cruz, Alma Latina Show host Nancy Ortiz,and latin percussionist Rodney Perez. The event featured dances and music performed live on stage by latino individuals, including a special performance by award winning brother and sister dance team Judah and Sunshine Oscher, who represented Hawaii at the December 2006 World Salsa Championships in Las Vegas.

2005 Hawaii Hispanic Heritage Festival
The 12th annual Hawaii Hispanic Heritage Festival, took place on Saturday, October 15, 2005 in Kapiolani Park from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

2004 Hawaii Hispanic Heritage Festival
The 11th annual Hawaii Hispanic Heritage Fesitval took place on Saturday, October 9, 2004 in Kapiolani Park from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The event featured live entertainment, food booths, crafts, cultural displays, children's activities,and a Hispanic Family Health Fair. Special guests included Folklorico del Mar and Flamenco Fiesta from California, performing traditional dances from Mexico and flamenco dances from Spain.

2001 Hawaii Hispanic Heritage Festival
The 8th annual Hawaii Hispanic Hispanic Heritage Festival took place in Kapiolani Park from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 20, 2001. The event featured performances by latino singers, bands, and dances and the Hawaii Opera Theatre performing pieces from the Opera "Carmen". There was also a special performance by Cuban dance instructor Ramon Ramos and the students in his 2001 Hawaii workshop.

1997 Hawaii Hispanic Heritage Festival
The fifth annual Hawaii Hispanic Heritage Festival took place on Saturday, October 18-19, 1997 on the grounds of the Honolulu City Hall, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday and 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday. The event featured performances by Puerto Rico's Jose Nogueras and his band and booths featuring the culture and foods of Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and South American countries.

1996 Hawaii Hispanic Heritage Festival
The 4th annual Hawaii Hispanic Heritage Festival took place on Saturday, October 12, 2006 in Kapiolani Park from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The event featured entertainment by folkloric ballet troupes and hispanic bands, singers, and magicians and food from Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela.
