Concert series on Oahu Island in Hawaii. Includes Hawaiian music concert series, jazz concert series, and other regularly scheduled Oahu concert series.

Waikiki Concert Series

SERIES: Ke Kani O Ke Kai Summer Concert Series
VENUE: Waikiki Aquarium
DESCRIPTION: Summer Concert Series

SERIES: Wildest Show in Town
VENUE: Honolulu Zoo
DESCRIPTION: Summer Concert Series

Second Saturday Kani Ka Pila Series
VENUE: Royal Hawaiian Center, The Royal Grove
DESCRIPTION: Concert series launched on Saturday, October 11, 2008 with a performance by Makana and Halau O Ke Aali I Ku Makani hula troupe.
PAST PERFORMERS: Series of outdoor concerts at venue between Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center Buildings B and C. Past performers included Teresa Bright and Kumu Hula Aloha Dalire's Keolalaulani Halau Olapa O Laka hula troupe on Saturday, January 10, 2008.

Grove Weekly Hawaiian Music Series
VENUE: Royal Hawaiian Center, The Royal Grove
DESCRIPTION
REGULAR PERFORMERS:
TUESDAYS: Kawika Trask and Friends
WEDNESDAYS: Keoahu
THURSDAYS: Puuhonua
FRIDAYS: Kuuipo Kumukahi
(Manu Boyd left OHA to become the Cultural Director for the Center. The center's general manager is Marleen Akau Kamehameha Schools renovated the 310,000 square foot center in the last few years)

Kamaaina Concert Series
There are two concert series at Waikiki Beach Walk, a weekly series called the Sunday Showcase and a bi-monthly series featuring headline performers call Na Mele No Na Pua. I believe there are also daily hula and Hawaiian music performances on the ground level grassy performance area at the edge of Lewers Avenue.

EVENT: Na Mele No Na Pua Series
VENUE: Waikiki Beach Walk
DESCRIPTION: Bi-monthly concert series featuring some of Hawaii's top headline performers. Concert venue is the Grand Lanai of the Embassy Suites Hotel from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

EVENT: Sunday Showcase Series
VENUE: Waikiki Beach Walk
DESCRIPTION: Free concerts every Sunday afternoon between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. on the Plaza Stage at Waikiki Beach Walk. The MC for the series is Alfred Apaka, son of Alfred Apaka. Occasionally the concerts are held an hour earlier, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Smooth Jazz Nights
VENUE: Royal Hawaiian Center (Upstairs Theater)
DESCRIPTION: Jazz Concert Series

Honolulu Concert Series West of Waikiki

Na Mele Nei First Sunday
VENUE: Ward Warehouse
DESCRIPTION: Ongoing, year-round concert series sponsored and presented by Native Books Hawaii.

Moonlight Mele on the Lawn
VENUE: Bishop Museum
DESCRIPTION: Outdoor concert series on the lawn of the Bishop Museum in Honolulu

Honolulu Concert Series East of Waikiki

Sunset Serenade Concert Series
VENUE: Hawaii Kai Town Center
DESCRIPTION: Ongoing or summer only?

Concert Series With Rotating Locations

Royal Hawaiian Band Concerts
VENUE: Rotating venues
DESCRIPTION: Performs every week at the Royal Hawaiian Center in Waikiki, at Kapiolani Park, at the Iolani Palace Bandstand, and sometimes at other Oahu venues.
