Waikiki Holiday Parade
High school bands from all over the United States
will join Hawaii high school bands and military bands
in the 8th annual Waikiki Holiday Parade.
The parade always takes place on the Friday evening following
Thanksgiving. The 2006 parade will be on Friday, November 24,
and it will commemorate the 65th anniversary
of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The parade will proceed for
1.5 miles on Kalakaua Avenue.

Kaimuki Christmas Parade
the 60th annual Kaimuki Christmas Parade
will take place on December 1, 2006 at 6:00 p.m.
The parade begins at Chaminade University and
travels up Koko Head Avenue to the Kaimuki Fire Station
where a Christmas tree will be lit. For more information

Tree Lighting Ceremony - Hilton Hawaiian Village
The Hilton Hawaiian Village tree lighting ceremony will
take place in the main lobby of the resort on Friday,
December 1, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. The Sacred Hearts Academy Choir.

Hawaiian Style Nutcracker Ballet
The Honolulu Dance Theatre is Performing "The Hawaiian
Nutcracker Ballet" at the Hawaii Theatre December 1-3.
This is a very special Nutcracker Ballet that features
King Kalakaua and Princess Kaiulani, ancient warrior battles,
the waltz of the hibiscus flowers, and other symbols of Hawaii.
Tickets are $12 to $26 and performances are at 7:30 pm
December 1-2 and 2:00 pm on December 3. For more information

Honolulu City Lights Celebration
The Christmas season is kicked off every year in Honolulu by lighting
the city hall christmas tree and having a holiday parade.
The 2006 Honolulu City Lights Celebration
will take place on December 2 at 6:00 pm, when a 63 foot Norfolk
Island pine tree will be lighted at the Honolulu Hale. The 2006
Light Parade will begin at 6:30 pm and it will proceed down
King Street the Honolulu Hale. At 7:30 pm there will
be a special holiday concert at Sky Gate.
Honolulu City Lights commemorative Christmas tree ornaments are designed
and sold every year. Honolulu's holiday lights will remain
up until January 3, 2007.

Tree Lighting Ceremony - Outrigger Reef
The Outrigger Reef on the Beach Resort will have an island-style
tree lighting ceremony in their hotel lobby, followed
by live holiday entertainment. The event is open to the

Oahu Gingerbread Festival
The 7th annual Oahu Gingerbread Festival will take place Sunday,
December 3, 2006 at the Neil Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.
Construct your own gingerbread house using of a kit that
includes locally-baked, pre-cut gingerbread pieces,
icing and pastry bags, and candies. The event is a fund raiser
for Easter Seals and the $39 fee includes all materials and
workspace for four people for two hours.

Holiday Choir Performances
Eleven different choirs will perform in the main lobby
of the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort at 5:00 p.m. each
day from Decemebr 4-21, 2006. The December 20, 2006
performance will feature the Hawaii Chorale directed
by the legendary Aaron Mahi.

The Santaland Diaries
Horrors of the holidays are documented in this
satirical, politically incorrect play written by
David Sedaris (espect screaming children,
ferocious mothers, and crazed Santas). Performances
are at the Manoa Valley Theatre. Tickets are $20
and performances are at 4:00 pm,

The Nutcracker - Hawaii State Ballet
The Hawaii State Ballet will perform
The Nutcracker December 8-10 and December 15-17
in the Mamiya Theatre of the Chaminade Campus
of St. Louis High School. There will be afternoon
performances on Saturdays and Sundays and evening
performances Friday thrugh Sunday. Ticket prices
range from $16 to $27.

This annual boat parade can be viewed from the Aloha Tower
Marketlace where there will also be live entertainment,
and free photos with Santa.

The 2006 Honolulu Gift Fair will take place
at the Neil Blaisdell Arena on Wednesday, December 13,
from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Kealii Reichel Christmas Concert and Dinner
Awarding winning composer and singer Kealii Reichel
will perform with Hookena during a "Home for the Holidays"
Christmas concert, in the Hibiscus Room of the Ala Moana Hotel
on December 10. Tickets are $65 for adults and the price

The world famous Cazimero Brothers will be featured
in a Christmas Concert at the Hawaii Theatre December 21,23, 2006.
