The 2008 Ala Wai Challenge Canoe Races and Hawaiian Games took place January 27, 2008 on the Ala Wai Canal in Honolulu.

The 23rd Annual Ala Wai Challenge Canoe Races and Hawaiian Games took place on Sunday, January 27, 2009 on the Ala Wai Canal and in Ala Wai Community Park.
