Delicious Fish and Salad in Haleiwa

The fish and shrimp plates at the Grass Skirt Grill on the North Shore of Oahu, come with a wonderful lemon and/or garlic sauce, brown rice, and the freshest, most delicious salad you have ever tasted. The owner told me once they grow their own salad vegetables on table tops at an above-ground farm in Pupukea.

Some people describe the food at the Grass Skirt Grill as "healthy plate lunch", at least if they order the fish and salad plates. The cafe does have other items on the menu, if you're not into fish or shrimp, but the fish and salad plates are the best reason to eat at the Grass Skirt Grill. Plus the fun people who run it! I often drive to the North Shore just to eat in this wonderful little cafe.

The Grass Skirt Grill is located on Kamehameha Highway, in Haleiwa Town, not far from the Matsumoto General Store's shave ice shop. Here's what the cafe looks like on the outside:
