The Duck Ponds of Waikiki
Waikiki Historic Trail Marker #18

Marker 18 on the Waikiki Historic Trail is located just outside of Ala Moana Park and across the street caddy corner from the Ala Moana Shopping Center. It marks an area where many taro farms and ancient Hawaiian fishponds were converted to duck farms by Chinese immigrants in the 1800's.

Location of Waikiki Historic Trail Marker #18
Marker number 18 on the Waikiki Historic Trail is located on Ala Moana Boulevard, just outside the Diamond Head entrance to Ala Moana Park. It is on the ocean side of the street between the bus stop and the bridge over the Ala Wai Canal. It is also across the street caddy corner from the Ala Moana Shopping Center. The nearest major intersection is Ala Moana Boulevard and the Ala Wai
