USS Oklahoma Memorial in Pearl Harbor

On December 7, 2007, a joint ceremony was held by the National
Park Service and the USS Oklahoma memorial committee to dedicate
a memorial to the ship just outside the entrance to the
USS Missouri museum on the northeast side of the island
In 2006 the United States Navy recovered a 40 foot long, 25,000 pound section of the USS Oklahoma from the bottom of Pearl Harbor. That part was flown to Tinker Air Force base and later delivered to the Muskogee War Memorial Park in Oklahoma in 2010 where it is on display in a covered outdoor site. A USS Oklahoma Memorial was dedicated on Ford Island in Hawaii on December 7, 2007, the 66th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. That memorial is located just outside the entrance to the USS Missour Battleship is docked as a museum. The USS Missouri docked on the site where the USS Oklahoma was docked when it was sunk.
