- Built between 1936 and 1939 by heiress Doris Duke
- East of Waikiki in the Kahala area at the foot of Hiamond Head
- Now owned by the Doris Duke Foundation of Islamic Art (DDFIA)
- 5 oceanfront acres
- Houses a collection of Islamic Art
- Views of Diamond Head

- Artifacts and architectural elements from Iran, Syria, Morocco, Turkey, India

- Tours are operated by the Honolulu Academy of Arts.
2.5 hours of which 1.5 hours is on site at Shangri-la
- begin and end at the Honolulu academy of fine arts
- Guided and narrated
- $25 pP includes round trip transport + entry to HAFA
- Wed-Sat between 8:30 and 1:30
- Torus include screening of 10minute film about DD and SL
- 24 person limit and those will be split on site into 2 12 person tours
- advance reservations required
- 12 and older only
- closed in September and some holidays - visitors must take the HAFA mini-van (not self-driving to tour)
