Plantations on Oahu Island

Information about working plantations on the island of Oahu in Hawaii and also about plantations that have been turned into visitor attractions.

Dole Pineapple Plantation
The Dole Plantation in Central Oahu was originally a fruit stand next to a pineapple field. It was opened to the public as a visitor attraction in 1989 and it features a train ride through the plantation, a giant walk-through maze, a pineapple garden, a large gift shop, and a cafe.

Hawaii's Plantation Village
This 50 acre outdoor plantation life museum is a village of plantation homes which are historic buildings or accurate replicas of the homes and community buildings of plantation workers who traveled to Hawaii from China, Portugal, Japan, Puerto Rico, Okinawa, Korea, and the Philippines.
