Mount Tantalus

Photos of Waikiki, downtown Honolulu, and and the sun setting over the ocean, taken from the top of Mount Tantalus on the island of Oahu.

The drive through the Honolulu Forest Reserve on Mount Tantalus Drive winds through a dense and beautiful rainforest. At the 2000 foot summit, there is a lookout at Puu Ualakaa State Wayside Park, with beautiful, panoramic views of Diamond Head Crater, Waikiki, Punchbowl Crater, the Manoa Valley, the University of Hawaii, the Makiki Valley, and Pearl Harbor.
