The Kahuku Shrimp Truck Scandal
Connie and John Aragona sold their north shore Oahu
shrimp wagon to Troy Nitche for $120,000 in 1997. In 2001,
Connie was in poor financial condition, she was
accused of extortion, robbery, and kidnapping because
of her efforts to force Nitche to sell the shrimp
wagon back to her.
Charges Filed in Shrimp Truck Extortion
According to this article in the
Honolulu Star Bulletin Newspaper,
in August of 2001, 46 year old connie Aragona tried
to take over Troy Nistche's shrimp truck business
at gunpoint.

"While writing for "Baywatch Hawaii," we came up
with some pretty bizarre story lines but nothing as
strange as the armed shakedown of a shrimp truck
owner by a couple of thugs working for a femme fatale
Godmother trying to take over the catering industry."
Jury Told of Threat to Kill Shrimp Truck Owner
According to testimony at Connie Aragon's trial,
she had two gunmen threaten Troy Nitche's life,
and she stole $3,500 from his shrimp truck.

Shrimp Wagon Antogonist Found Guilty
In June of 2003 Connie Aragona was found guilty
of threatening the life of Troy Nitche in an effort
to force him to sell his lucrative north shore
