Oahu's Northeast Shore Islands

Photographs and information about the islands off the northeast shore of the island of Oahu in Hawaii.

Mokualai Island
Aka Moku Alai

Kukuihoolua Island
This 1.3 acre island off of Laie Point has an elevation of 20 feet. It is a state of Hawaii seabird sanctuary, however it is open to the public during daylight hours.

Pulemoku Island
This one acre island in Laie Bay off the coast of Oahu at Kahuku is also know an Pulemoku Rock. It is a flat rock with no soil. Its maximum elevation is 15 feet and the ocean can wash over it entirely when the surf is high.

Mokuauia Island (Goat Island)
This island in Laie Bay is also known as Goat Island. It is 1700 feet long and 1000 feet wide. It is a designated Hawaii state seabird sanctuary but it is open the public during daylight hours.

Kihewamoku Island
This two acre island off the coast of Laie is approximately 2 acres in size and its maximum elevation is 10 feet. It is owned by the state of Hawaii and it is open to the public. It is possible to get there by boat but the landing is difficult.

Kukaimanini Island
A small islet in Kawela Bay, which is just west of Turtle Bay and the Kuilima Resort. Kukaimanini Island is located offshore at Waialee Beach Park.
