Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park in West Oahu opened their new miniature golf course over the May 2007 Memorial Day Weekend. Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park will open its newest attraction, Island Adventure Golf on Memorial Day weekend. Offering exciting recreational activity in a safe and beautiful environment, the modern, high-end 18-hole miniature adventure golf course will open on Friday, May 25, 2007.

The $1-million project features 18 holes of creative and challenging miniature golf, including nine ADA accessible holes, and a putting green. The course is designed to showcase Hawaiian culture and blend with Oahu’s natural environment. The facility features waterfalls, lagoons, and lush vegetation, which soften the structural elements of the adventure golf area, and also includes bridges, rock shaped areas, and a man-made volcano.

The new tropical theme golf development features four main areas fashioned after various environments found in Hawaii. Upon entry, guests play through an ocean and beach area complete with water features, sand, model hammerhead sharks and a vintage Woody. Next, they putt their way through a coral reef area on their way to a lush valley marked by a waterfall, tropical plants and trees. Finally, they tee up in the mountain area complete with a manmade volcano. Waterways connect all four environments.

"We are thrilled to open the Island Adventure Golf facility," said Takuya Ohki, vice president of Hawaiian Waters. "After six months of development we have seen it come to full fruition. We are also excited to offer a new recreation to the families of Kapolei and the West shore of Oahu."

Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park contracted COST of Jackson, Wisconsin to design the adventure golf facility. COST has over 40 years of experience in designing theme parks, water parks, and adventure golf businesses in eight countries and throughout the United States.

Island Adventure Golf offers a full round of 18 holes for $11.00 for general admission, $9.00 for youth 12 years and under, $8.00 for senior citizens, military, and groups of 15 or more. Kamaaina and replay rates are available. Combination discounts are also offered on admission to both Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park and Island Adventure Golf jointly.

In addition to Island Adventure Golf, other planned future developments at Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park include a sit-down restaurant, future water rides, retail shopping and a new entertainment element.

Nestled on 29-acres of lush tropical landscape in Oahu's "Second City" of Kapolei, the $18-million Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park is Hawaii's only water theme amusement park featuring a variety of unique water rides and attractions for all ages. Hawaiian Waters Adventure Parks offers thrill rides for the adventurer and family rides for the keiki, along with multiple dining options, specialty activity areas and a plethora of guest amenities.
