Iolani Palace
Historic Downtown Honolulu

The Iolani Palace is a restored historic building in downtown Honolulu that was once the home of Hawaiian royalty.

This palace was built in 1882 for King Kalakaua and Queen Liliuokalani, the last monarchs of Hawaii. It has been elegantly restored, and guided tours are available. The tours include a historic video, a tour of the grounds, the interior rooms of the palace, and galleries where the Hawaiian crown jewels and ancient items can be viewed.
