Alii Beach is located on Oahu's north shore, between the Hale'iwa Small Boat Harbor and Kaiaka Beach in Hale'iwa Town. The park has a large grassy area, a white sand beach, picnic tables, restrooms, showers, and lifeguards most of the time. Alii beach is a popular for surfing because there are several large breaks offshore. The waves on the beach are usually not large, but there are rip currents and rocks that can make swimming dangerous. The safest place for swimming is the sheltered section on the far east end of the beach because it is somewhat protected by the harbor breakwater.
