Windsurfing on Oahu

Articles and information about the sport of windsurfing on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.

Windsurfing Spots on Oahu

Kailua Bay Windsurfing
The beaches bordering Kailua Bay on the windward side of Oahu are a good place to learn windsurfing because the sea is usually calm, the seabed is sandy in many areas, and winds are usually blowing toward shore. Kailua Bay beaches include Lanikai Beach and Kailua Beach Park.

Maunalua Bay Windsurfing
When Kona winds are blowing (wind blowing from the south) Maunalua Bay on the south shore of Oahu in the Hawaii Kai area is a good place for windsurfing.
