Oahu Atlantis Submarine Tours
Information about the Atlantis Submarine tours off
the coast of Waikiki on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.

The Atlantis Submarine Tours on Oahu Island
begin at the Port Hilton Dock in front of
the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort in Waikiki.
tours last about ? minutes and they offer views
of a sunken aircraft, sunken ships, and an
artificial reef created by Atlantis Adventures
from depths of up to 100 feet below the surface
of the ocean.
The Oahu Atlantis submarine tours
operate in an area about 1 nautical mile
off Waikiki Beach, on the Diamond Head
side of Kaiser Channel.
The Passenger Vessel Discovery shuttles
tour participants between the Port Hilton Dock
and the dive site.
Three tug boats, the Huki Nui, the Palaoa, and
the Nani tow the submarines to the dive site
at about 6:00 a.m. and they are towed back
to Pier 40 sometime between noon and
7:00 p.m. Those boats also operate as surface
safety, lookout, and communications vessles for the
submarines while they are underwater and while
they are descending and surfacing.
Premium Waikiki Submarine Tour
The premium Atlantis submarine tour off
Waikiki Beach is on the 64-passenger,
100 foot long Atlantis XIV Submarine.
This larger submarine has more personal
space for each passenger, larger viewing windows,
and an individual seat for each passenger.
The full price of the premium submarine tour
are just over $100 for adults and just
over $50 for children but discount tickets are
available on the Atlantis Hawaii Web site.
Regular Waikiki Submarine Tour
The standard Waikiki submarine tour off
the caost of Waikiki is on the 48-passenger
Atlantis VII submarine. Note that the regular
submarine tour has bench style seating.
The price of the premium submarine tour
is about $90 for adults and about $45 for
children but discount tickets are
available on the Atlantis Hawaii Web site.
In addition to the discounted prices available
on the Atlantis Submarine Web site, many of Oahu's
free visitor magazines offer discount
Atlantis Submarine tickets.
Important Information - Please Note:
Atlantis submarine tour participants must be at least 36 inches tall
and they must be able to climb
descend a 7-step, vertical ladder
into and out of the body of the submarine.
Check-in is at the Atlantis Submarines
ticket office on the beachside of the
Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort, on the
left side of the swimming pool if you
are facing the ocean. Tour participants
are required to check-in 30 minutes before
the scheduled tour departure time.
Guests are transported to the submarine from the
Port Hilton Dock on a shuttle boat. Expect the
entire Waikiki submarine tour experience to
last about 1.5 hours including the shuttle
cruise to and from the submarine,
entering and disembarking from the submarine,
and the submarine tour itself.
The tours depart three or four times a day.
Tour Narration is in English but
headsets are available for Japanese
language tours.
In addition to their submarine tours,
Atlantis of Oahu also offers several
two-activity packages that add activities
such as dinner cruises to their submarine tour.
