Horseback Riding on Oahu

There are several horseback riding stables on the south shore, windward side and north shore of Oahu, including ranches at Koko Head Crater, Kualoa, Kahuku, Turtle Bay, Mokuleia Beach.

Oahu Horseback Riding Stables

Gunstock Ranch
Horseback riding packages include 90 minute daytime ride, a 90 minute full moon ride (available twice a month, A romantic two hour picnic ride for two, a four hour lunch ride, a 30 minute horse experience for age 2 through 7, and a two hour sunset ride and barbecue. Located on the northeast shore of Oahu in the town of Laie. For more information call 808-293-2026.

Happy Trails Hawaii
Horseback riding through forests, ranch land, and orchards in the lush Waimea Valley on the north shore of Oahu. Trails have beautiful canyon and ocean views. For more information call 808-638-7433.

Kahuku-Kai Horse Ranch
This horse boarding and riding stable is located directly on the beach, on the northeast shore of Oahu, between the Polynesian Cultural Center and the Turtle Bay Resort. They offer afternoon trail rides for up to four riders at a time. For more information call 808-293-8081 or 808-222-9544.

Koko Crater Equestrian Center
These horseback riding stables are located inside Koko Head Crater, on the south shore of Oahu. Trails wind through Koko Crater and through the Koko Crater Botanical Gardens. For more information leave a phone message at 808-395-2628.

Kualoa Ranch Horseback Riding Adventures
This ranch on the northeast shore of Oahu offers guided horseback riding tours in the Kaaawa Valley, through grassy meadow with views of the sea and the Kualoa Mountains. For more information visit the Kualoa Ranch Web site or call 808-237-7321.

Turtle Bay Resort Horseback Riding
The Stables at Turtle Bay offers lessons and guided horseback riding tours on the Kawela Bay trails near the resort. Evening rides, carriage rides, and wagon rides are also available. For more information call 808-293-6000.
