2007 Molokai Aloha Festival
Island of Molokai, Hawaii

The 2007 Molokai Aloha Festival will take place the weekend of October 4-6, 2007 and events will include the royal court investiture and a poke contest on Thursday, live music and dance performances on Friday, and a parade and festival celebration on Saturday. All of Molokai's Aloha Festival events will take place in the town of Kaunakakai. For information about festival events on other islands see About the 2007 Aloha Festivals.

October 4, 2007 (Thursday)
Molokai Royal Court Investiture

The Royal Court of Molokai will receive their royal symbols and begin their one year reign at the Mitchell Pauole Center on October 4, 2007 at 6:00 p.m.

October 4, 2007 (Thursday)
Molokai Poke Contest
After the investiture of the Molokai Royal Court there will be a poke making contest with free samples of the marinated raw fish appetizer known in Hawaii as "poke". Free samples will be available to those wearing an Aloha Festival Ribbon.

October 5, 2007 (Thursday)
Hoike Town Show
Live music and dance performances will be featured at a show on the grounds of the Kaunakakai Town Library at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2007.

October 6, 2007 (Saturday)
Kaunakakai Aloha Festivals Parade
There will be a parade through the streets of Kaunakakai on Saturday, October 6 at 9:00 a.m. that will feature floral floats, Hawaiian cowboys, and more. The parade will begin near the Kaunakakai Bank of Hawaii and it will end at the Molokai Ball Park.

October 6, 2007 (Saturday)
Molokai Aloha Festivals Hoolaulea
There will be a festival after the parade with live Hawaiian music performed by Molokai and off-island groups, arts and crafts, games, and food booths. The festival will begin at 11:00 a.m. and it will be held at the Mitchell Pauole Center in Kaunakakai, across the street from the ballpark where the parade ended.
