Palaau State Park
North Molokai, Hawaii
Palaau State Park is a 234 acre forest park
on a North Molokai cliff about 1600 feet above
Kalaupapa and the Makanalua Peninsula.
Palaau Park is the only place you can view Kalaupapa
if you are not planning to get there by scaling a
cliff, by riding a mule, by plane, or by boat.
The rocky formation pictured below is called Phallic Rock
and it is said that women who bring offerings to
this rock, and spend the night near it, will
become pregnant by the next day!
