Snorkeling on Molokai

Information about places to go snorkeling and where to rent snorkeling gear on the island of Molokai in Hawaii.

Information about places to go snorkeling and where to rent snorkeling gear on the island of Molokai in Hawaii. The water surrounding Molokai is often rough with high winds, especially between September and April but during the summer, if the water is calm, the snorkeling can be very nice. There are several good snorkeling beaches on the south coast of Molokai, between Kaupoa Beach to Twenty-Mile Beach. Two of Molokai's most popular snorkeling beaches are Kumimi Beach Park (aka Murphy Beach Park) in East Molokai and Kapukahehu Beach (aka Dixie Maru Beach) in West Molokai.

There is also a barrier reef off of Molokai's south coast that is a great place for snorkeling when the water is calm. Molokai's reef is the longest reef in hawaii.
