May Day is Lei Day on Maui
In past years the Wailea Marriott Hotel
and the Fairmont Kea Lani Hotel have
celebrated Maui Lei Day with cultural
demonstrations, artisan booths, lei
making demonstrations, lei making
contests, live entertainment, and food booths.
International Festival of Canoes
A two week cultural heritage event at which
Maui's master canoe carvers conduct
canoe building workshops and launch the canoes
in a ceremony at the end of the festivals.
The festival also features Hawaiian music
concerts and cultural demonstrations.
Maui Classical Music Festival
A week of classical music concerts in many
Maui locations, usually including Lahaina,
Kaanapali, Wailuku, Hana, Wailea, Makawao, and Kula.
Maui Onion Festival
The 20th Annual Maui Onion Festival took pl
place at the Whaler's Village Shopping Center
on the grounds of the Kaanapali Resort in
West Maui.
