The Beaches of Kihei

An introduction to the beaches of the Kihie resort area on the southwest coast of the island of Maui in Hawaii. Includes Kihei beaches from from Maalea Beach to Kewakapu Beach Park

The three beaches of Kamaole are south of Kihei, and they are known as Kamaole Beach I, II and III. Kamaole Beach I and II are good swimming beaches. Kamaole Beach III has a large grass field and is a popular spot for body boarding. The beaches are separated by piles of rocks. There are shops in this area and plenty of parking. lifeguards, volleyball courts.

From Mai Poina Oe Iau Beach to Kalama Park there can be a problem with sewage from the wastewater facility in the middle of Kalama Park. Swimming north of Kalama Park can be dangerous.

The best beaches are south of Kalama Park.
