The Experience at Koele is a 72 par, 18 hole golf course in the central
highlands of the island of Lanai in Hawaii. The course
is set on a plateau about 2000 feet above sea level
and the course has distant views of the ocean and the
islands of Maui and Molokai. The Experience at Koele
is on the grounds of the luxurious Lodge at Koele upcountry
resort.
It is set in a pine, koa, and eucalyptus forest and there are
ravines, seven lakes,and flowing streams with waterfalls
on the course. The course was designed
by golfing legend Greg Norman and architect Ted Robinson
and it first opened in 1990.
Facilities include a driving range, putting green,
equipment rentals, golf instruction, a pro shop, and
a clubhouse that serves light meals that
can be ordered from a golfer's cart and delivered to their location.
