The Challenge at Manele is a 72 par championship golf course
on the grounds luxurious Manele Bay Resort on the island of Lanai
in Hawaii. The course was designed by Jack Nicklaus
and it first opened in December of 1993. The Challenge at Manele
golf course sits on top of a 200 foot lava seacliff
and there are views of the Hulopoe bay and the ocean from all 18 holes.
Facilities include a driving range, a putting green, a pro shop,
golf instruction, and a clubhouse that serves light meals.
A bit of trivia: In 1994 Bill Gates of Microsoft got married
on the green of hole 12.
