Kauai Museum May Day / Lei Day Celebration
Festival held at the Kauai Museum in Lihue
to celebrate Hawaii's Lei Day and May Day holiday.

More About Lei Day on Kauai
On May 1st of every year, residents and visitors on
Kauai and the other Hawaiian Islands wear flower lei
to work and to school, and there are special events and
lei making contests to mark the occasion.
Visitor Industry Charity Walk
Annual fundraising fund walk that
takes place on all of the largest Hawaiian
Islands. the Kauai route is about 3.5 miles
long and it usually begins at the
Kukui Grove Pavilion. For more information

Banana Poka Round-Up
Annual festival held at Kokee State Park
featuring live music, environmental exhibits,
hiking, craft activities, and a huge tent
where you can learn to make Banana Poka Baskets.
The 2009 Banana Poka Roundup took place
on June 21, 2009.
Kauai World Challenge
The Kauai World Challenge is a paddling,
outrigger canoeing, and surf ski race. The
2006 event took place May 3-6. For more

Kilauea Lighthouse Day
Every year in May the Kilauea Point National
Wildlife Refuge organizes a celebration on
the anniversary of the Kilauea Lighthouse.
The event includes exhibitions, demonstrations,
and hands-on activities for the public. For
