Prince Kuhio Celebration of the Arts
This annaul cultural festival takes place
every year, the week of Prince Kuhio's Birthday,
in Prince Kuhio Park in Koloa and at the Grand Hyatt
Kauai Resort and Spa. The 2009 Prince Kuhio
Celebration of the Arts will take place
March 23-30, 2009. Activities and events will
include Hawaiian culture workshops
and demonstrations, film screenings, "talk story" sessions,
concerts featuring award winning Hawaii musicians,
A Prince Kuhio Commemorative Ceremony,
and a grand finale luau at the Kauai Hyatt Kauai Resort.

Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole
by visiting the Prince Kuhio Memorial
in Prince Kuhio Park in Lawai.
Prince Kuhio was born
on March 26, 1871 in Koloa on the
island of Kauai.
Kauai Ocean Fair
The 11th Annual Kauai Family Ocean Fair
took place at the Kilauea Point National
Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, July ?, 2008
from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The fair
features events and exhibits focused on
learning about the marine environment.
The fair is presented by the
Hawaiian Islands Hmpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary, the
Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge, and the
Kilauea Point Natural History Association.
