Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge
The Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge is a 917 acre
area established in 1972 to provide a protected
home for endangered Hawaiian waterbirds, such as
the Hawaiian Stilt, the Coot, the Moorhen, and
the Koloa Duck. The refuge is a home for more
then 40 species of birds.
