Paved Roads on Lanai Island

Information about the paved roads of Lanai Island in Hawaii The limited number of paved roads on the island of Lanai include the road between the Manele Bay and Lanai City, the road to Kaumalapua Harbor, the road to Hulopoe Beach, the only pavement-accessible beach on the island.

Route 440 State Highway
The main highway on Lanai has two sections, both of them connecting the interior town of Lanai City with the coast.

Manele Road
The southeast section of Highway 440 is known as Manele Road. it connects Lanai City with the south coast of the island, including port for the Maui Lanai Ferry, Hulopoe Beach, and the the ultra-luxury Four Seasons resort at Manele Bay.

Kaumalapau Highway
The northwest section of the highway 440 connects the Lanai Airport with Lanai City in one direction and the Kaumalapau cargo and fishing boat harbor on the west coast of Lanai.
