About the Kalohi Channel
- Between Lanai Island and Molokai Island
- About 9.2 miles wide
- Maximum depth is about 540 feet
- Usually has strong winds and choppy seas
- British vessel "Alderman Wood" sank off Lanai in 1824
- U.S. WWII ship "London" was purposely sunk at Shipwreck Beach
