Great spot for swimming and snorkeling most of the year. Avoid swimming and water sports during the winter months when surf conditions and currents are rough.

Dr. Stephen Leatherman - aka "Dr. Beach" designated Hulopoe Beach as America's Best Beach in 1997.

The beach Park in the bay has picnic tables, barbecue grills, restrooms, and showers.

The beach in the bay earned the title of America's best beach in 1997 by Dr. Stephen Leatherman (Dr. Beach).

Best spot on Lanai for snorkeling and swimming except during the winter months when water conditions can be rough.

There are large tidepools carved out of volcanic rock on the east side of the bay. hermit crabs, sea stars, opihi (loimpet), and small fish live in the tidepools.

It is a marine protected area so visitors aare asked to take nothing not even stones and shells. Dolphins can often be seen in the bay and during the winter months, humpbackj whales.

The hike to Puu Pehe, also known as "sweetheart rock" takes about 15 or 20 minutes. The rock is located just southeast of the tidepools.
