Kauai is the fourth largest, oldest, and northern-most of the main Hawaiian Islands. It is known as "The Garden Isle" because of the large amount of rainfall on the wet side of the island resulting in lush vegetation in that region. The island is most visited for it's beautiful scenery, its natural parks and reserves, and its and outdoor activities.
