West Big Islnd Hostels

Kaimana Guest House and Hostel
Hostel beds and private rooms are both available in this guest house in Milolii, about 35 miles south of Kailua-Kona, and about halfway between the Kona Airport and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. A small, inexpensive cottage with a kitchen and private bathroom is also available.

Koa Wood Hale Inn
Shared rooms, private rooms, and two bedroom suites are all available in this small apartment building on Ala Ona Ona Street in Kailua-Kona. This is the new location of the Kona accommodations formerly known as "Patey's Place". Pineapple Park of Kona
This hostel in the town of Captain Cook, about 17 miles from the Kona Airport offers dormitory accommodations and private rooms with either a shared or private bathroom. There is a community kitchen and a living room with a television, both available to all guests. The owners run a kayak and beach equipment rental shop on the property where fresh fruits and vegetables can also be purchased. Grocery stores and restaurants are within walking distance and there is a bus stop across the street. Located about ten miles south of Kailua-Kona Town, above Kealakekua Bay.

Hilo Hostel Accommodations
Information about a Hilo located conveniently close to Downtown Hilo and local transportation and another hostel located near the beach and a 15 minute bicycle ride away from Downtown Hilo.

A Beautiful Day Rainforest Retreat
This rustic retreat and health spa has covered outdoor accommpdations ond air mattresses for about $20 per night, a rustic tree house and a screened bamboo hut for $35 to $50 per night, and a small suite with a queen size air bed, a kitchen, and a private bathroom. There is also a spa on the premises and the prices there are about the same as most of the other spas in Hawaii. Cinderland Eco-Hostel
Set on three acres planted with fruit trees and pineapple plants. Facilities include two very low cost dorm camps, each with 5 beds, and one of them is exclusively for women who want more privacy. Located on Cinder Road, just outside of Pahoa.

Hedonisia Hawaii
I'm listing this Pahoa Town facility under hostels because it has private rooms, private huts, and sheltered tent spaces for $15 to $45.

Pahoa Hostel
This hostel has two locations, a hostel three miles from Pahoa with accommodations in two converted school buses and a cottage, and another location six miles from Pahoa with covered tent platforms (tents are included in the rate).

Pineapple Park Volcano
Private rooms and bunk beds in shared rooms are available at this hostel, located about 7 miles from the recently erupting Pu'u O'o vent and about 15 miles from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The inn approximately 12,000 square feet in size, with a large kitchen, and it can accommodate both individuals and groups of up to 65 people.
