East Hawaii (East Big Island) Ongoing Events
Hawaiiana Live
Leilehua Yuen shares Hawaiian traditions, culture,
and music during a 45 minute presentation at the
Hilo Palace Theatre every Wednesday morning
from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. The program changes
every week and it often features special guest
performers and practitioners. Children get in free
and there is a small admission fee for adults.

Hawaii County Band Weekly Concerts
The Hawaii County Band performs a free concert
every Saturday in Hilo's Mooheau Park every Saturday
at 12:00 noon, or sometimes earlier or later if
there is a special event in the park on a Saturday
(for example, on July 4, 2009 the band played
at 7:00 p.m. instead of 12 noon).
West Hawaii (West Big Island) Ongoing Events
Hulihee Palace Concert Series
The historic Hulihee Palace in Kailua-Kona
presents a free Hawaiian music concert to the public
once a month.
King's Shops Weekly Events and Activities
The Kings Shops Center on the grounds
of the Waikoloa Resort offers a variety
of free weekly events and activities,
including ukulele lessons, hula lessons,
hula performances, music performances,
and more.
Kona Historical Society Tours
Offers regularly scheduled tours of the Kona Coffee Living
History Farm, the H. N. Greenwell Store, a walking tour
of Kailua-Kona, jeep tours, boat tours, and other outings.
Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii Programs
The Friends of the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii
Authority (NELHA), an organization also known as FON,
makes public presentations and offers
a "Deep Seawater Aquaculture Tour" several times a week.
The general presentations are under $10 for adults and
the aquaculture tours are under $20 for adults.
