Kona Coffee Cultural Festival
This coffee and food festival on the west coast of the Big
Island is more the 35 years old and it features many coffee-related
contests, tours, workshops, plus concerts, sporting events,
and food and coffee tastings.
Holualoa Coffee and Art Stroll
Annual event in Holualua Village that is part of the
above Kona Coffee Cultural Festival. Takes place
every year on the first Saturday in November.
The 10th Annual Holualoa Coffee and Art Stroll took
place on Saturday, November 7, 2009.
Drum and Percussion Festival
The 5th Annual Drum and Percussion Festival
presented by Bare and Core Expression took place
in the Hilo Palace Theater on November 14, 2009,
fromo 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Sports Events in November on the Big Island
Makalei Amateur Championship Golf Tournament
Annual golf tournament at the Makelei Golf Club
in Kailua-Kona. The 4th Annual Makalei Amateur Golf Tournament
took place November 14-15, 2009.
Other November Events on Hawaii Island
Moku o Keawe International Hula Festival
Annual hula competition with senior, ancient,
and modern hula categories. The 2009 event took
place at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott November 4-8, 2009.
Hilo Black and White Night
the 8th Annual Hilo Black and White Night
will take place on Friday, November 6, 2009
from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in downtown
Hilo. The event is a strolling party
featuring live jazz, food samples, author
and artist receptions and other events
and activities all over Downtown Hilo.
Everybody dresses in all types of black and white
clothing for the event.
Big Island Ukulele Guild Show
The 6th Annual Big Ilsnad Ukulele Guild Show took place
at the Kona Inn Shopping Center, November 13-15, 2009.
The event features a display of vintage ukuleles
and instruments hand made by members of the guild,
including ukuleles built for the "Ukuleles for Young Musicians"
project. The 2009 event included a
6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday evening.
KHF Gala Party and Golf Classic
The 25th Annual gala party, golf classic, and fundraiser for the
Kona Hospital Foundation took place November 15-16, 2009.
