Hakalau for Visitors

The town of Hakalau is on Hakalau Bay on the big island of Hawaii, and it is most well-know for its old railway bridge that spans a deep gorge and for the Hakalau Forest.

Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge
A 33,000 acre wildlife refuge established by the United States Government in 1985 to protect endangered forest birds and their rain forest habitat.
