Cape Kumukahi
Puna, Big Island

Information about Cape Kumukahi in the Puna District on the east coast of the Big island of Hawaii.

This is the easternmost spot on the Big Island of Hawii and also of the entire Hawaiian Island Chain. The cape was spared fromthe 1960 lava flow the covered much of the area when the lava parted and flowed on either side of the cape.
