Airports on the Big Island of Hawaii

Information about airports on the Big Island of Hawaii. Icludes the Kona Airport, the Hilo Airport, the Waimea-Kohala Airport, and the Upolu Airport near Hawi in North Kohala.

Kona International Airport (KOA)
3450 acre airport located about seven miles northwest of the resort town of Kailua-Kona on the west coast of Hawaii Island. KOA is the third busiest airport in Hawaii.

Hilo International Airport (ITO) 1400 acre airport located about two miles east of Hilo on the east side of Hawaii Island. Hilo Airport has two runways, one that can accommodate large jets and one used primarily for general aviation purposes.

Waimea-Kohala Airport (MUE)
General aviation airport located abut one mile south of the town of Waimea (aka Kamuela).

Upolu Airport (UPP)
General aviation airport located about 3 miles from the town of Hawa on the northwest side of Hawaii Island
