Vic-Maui Canada to Hawaii Sailing Race

The Victoria to Maui International Yacht Race took place for the first time in 1968. The race takes place every other year, on even years, in June or July. The start line is in Victoria in British Columbia, Canada and the finish line is near the old whaling town of Lahaina on the island of Maui in Hawaii. The racing distance is about 2308 nautical miles.

The Vic-Maui race is governed by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) Racing Rules of Sailing theVic-Maui Notice of Race, and the Vic-Maui Sailing Instructions. One after each boat starts, the International Maritime Organization's International Regulations for Preventing Collision at Sea replaces Part 2 of the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing.
