Oahu Veterans Day Events
Veteran's Day events on Oahu include a ceremony
inside the National Cemetery of the dPacific inside
Punchbowl Crater, a program at the
Hawaii State Veteran's Cemetery in Kaneohe
and Veterans Day parades in Central Oahu and
West Oahu.
Maui Veterans Day Events
The Maui Sons and Daughters of Nisei Veterans are
organizing two Maui Veterans Day events in 2009,
a display with live entertainment on Veterans Day
and a craft fair the Sunday before Veterans Day.
Kauai Veterans Day Events
The Sunday before Veterans Day there will be a
Kauai Veterans Day Parade and Family Festival that will
include a parade from the Kapaa Boat Harbor to
Kapaa Beach and a ceremony and family festival
at Kapaa Beach Park after the parade.

Another idea for observing Veteran's Day in Hawaii is to
visit one of Hawaii's historic military sites,
or one of Hawaii's military memorials and museums.
Visit Historic Military Sites at Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor historic sites you can visit include
the USS Arizona Memorial, the USS Bowfin Submarine,
the USS Missouri Battleship, the USS Oklahoma Memorial,
and the Pacific Aviation Museum on Ford Island.
Pearl Harbor is located on the south side of Oahu Island,
a few miles west of Downtown Honolulu.
